he is quiet, guilt raises an accusing finger and makes the man miserable. A child of God may react to guilt in the same way as an unsaved man. Guilt may produce a feverish activity or a restlessness or a pursuit of pleasure that puts God out of the picture, that seeks to deaden the conviction of the Word of God, and the accusation of the Spirit of God who dwells within. The believer may manifest this restlessness in what seems to be perfectly good ways by going from one church service to another
